September's Homework

On Friday, I sent home emails to parents regarding missing work. If you did not get an email, your child is either caught up or was away and I need to follow up with them before I send notification home or you already know why. Here is the list of the 8 items I was chasing during our multiple work periods yesterday.

  • The ALPIN (French reading assessment about sugar)
    • This is hard copy only
  • The math evaluation that we started at the same time as the ALPIN
    • This is hard copy only
  • Their English Novels notebook with chapter questions 1-10 for Touching Spirit Bear answered inside
    • The questions and a PDF of the book are available on your child's Google Classroom
  • Their French autobiographical poem
    • The template, which was distributed in hard copy and explained, is available on your child's Google Classroom
  • Their math word problem sheet (double sided) with problems about leaf collections
    • This sheet was handed out in hard copy, the front side could be done with a partner, the back individually. It is available on Google Classroom.
    • To understand what I am looking for in word problems, watch my very "cringy" video
  • Their math word problem sheet (single sided) with a problem about Charlotte’s candy
    • This sheet was handed out in hard copy. It is available on Google Classroom.
    • To understand what I am looking for in word problems, watch my very "cringy" video
  • Their Healing Hands handout that we did on Monday
    • This is a hard copy only
  • Their Giving Thanks art (Je suis reconnaissant(e))
    • The expectations, as well as lettering inspiration and zentangle inspiration are available on your child's Google Classroom.
    • There are examples on my instagram page (mme_jn) of students' completed work this year.
If you have any additional comments, questions, or concerns, please shoot me an email.

Happy weekending!
